About the project
Since October 2011, Film Independent has presented Live Read to its audiences at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. These exclusive, one-night-only events feature high-profile actors performing unrehearsed, live readings of acclaimed screenplays. Past screenplays include American Beauty, American Pie, Boogie Nights, Dazed and Confused, The Empire Strikes Back, The Hateful Eight, The Princess Bride, Pulp Fiction, and Stand by Me. Since these performances are neither recorded nor broadcast, only live audiences can experience the magic of Live Read.
