About the project
Launched in 2019, The New Wave honors and celebrates the change-makers driving the transformation of art and culture. Over three dynamic days, attendees enjoyed screenings, conversations, and unique community events designed to foster engagement, promote inclusion, and inspire audiences. Produced by Film Independent in partnership with KCRW and hosted by The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, The New Wave features diverse art forms, including film, visual arts, and performances by emerging and established artists.
